The material you choose for your product nameplate will vary based on a number of factors including the type of environment the nameplate will most be used it, how long the nameplate needs to last, the number of nameplates you need produced, the size of the nameplate, and the preferred finish. Other factors that will be important to your selection will include whether or not you want the product nameplates to be serialized, whether they need to have printed bar codes, and the type of adhesive (or in the case of some aluminum nameplates, the types of rivets) that will be used to attach the nameplate.

Types of Product Nameplates Available

	Lexan/Polycarbonate Nameplates are commonly used for switches, automotive panels, product identification labels and panel overlays. Because they are easy to die cut, emboss and print polycarbonate offers product designers more freedom than some other materials.
	Mylar/Polyester Nameplates are used for many of the same applications as polycarbonate nameplates, except they are more chemical resistant, more tear resistant and can stand up to the elements much better. Polyester nameplates are durable, clear and are resistant to shrinking or stretching.
	Vinyl Nameplates are tear resistant, self-extinguishing and easy to produce and are commonly used for general labeling, product identification and indoor signage. While they are extremely economical to produce, they scratch easily, offer poor UV resistance and are not as durable as some of the other options.
	Domed Nameplates cost little but add an expensive look to your product. Made from a variety of materials, they form an eye-catching protective lens which looks good and adds durability to your product or brand logo.
	Aluminum Nameplates from Hallmark Nameplate last (almost) forever. They can withstand extremes in temperature, salt-spray, continuous outdoor exposure, and will continue to look great years after they are first produced. Information is sealed into the aluminum so it will always be easy to read.
	Paper Labels may not have the longevity of many of the other types of nameplate we offer, but they are easy and fast to produce, inexpensive and look great. Paper labels from Hallmark Nameplate are great for all sorts of temporary applications and can be produced in a variety of finishes.

Hallmark Nameplate can usually complete most orders within 2 weeks (except for domed nameplates and aluminum nameplates, where the standard lead time is 4 weeks). Expedited production and shipping services are also available.

Hallmark Nameplate offers a variety of different finishes for almost every kind of nameplate. Gloss finishes are available for paper nameplates, polycarbonate nameplates, polyester nameplates, vinyl nameplates, domed nameplates and aluminum nameplates. Velvet finishes are available for polycarbonate nameplates, polyester nameplates, vinyl nameplates and aluminum nameplates. Non-reflective matte finishes are available for paper nameplates, polycarbonate nameplates, polyester nameplates, vinyl nameplates and aluminum nameplates. Aluminum nameplates may also be ordered in a satin finish and Paper nameplates can be ordered with a semi-gloss finish.
